Japanese companies upbeat



KUALA LUMPUR: Enterprise sentiment amongst Japanese firms in Malaysia is forecast to development positively within the second half of this 12 months, says a survey by the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Business Malaysia (Jactim).

President Daiji Kojima stated that in response to the bi-annual survey performed amongst 557 Jactim members between Jan 19 and Feb 21, 2022, the enterprise sentiment diffusion index (DI) is projected to broaden to twenty.5 factors, persevering with its constructive development from the primary half (1H) of this 12 months.

“The DI for Japanese enterprise sentiment for 1H22 rose sharply by 30 factors, turning constructive after being in detrimental territory for eight phrases and the best since 1H18 as a result of rest of motion management orders, particularly with the reopening of most financial sectors and higher demand within the semiconductor sector,” he informed Bernama.
