KUALA LUMPUR: Cenviro Sdn Bhd has issued its first sustainability-linked sukuk of RM54.6mil in two tranches from its unrated Islamic medium-term notes program of as much as RM500mil in nominal worth.
Cenviro stated the sukuk, issued beneath the syariah precept of Wakalah Bi Al-Istithmar, was in step with ideas prescribed by Worldwide Capital Market Affiliation and Cenviro’s dedication in the direction of the sustainability agenda, significantly in lowering greenhouse fuel emissions.
“The sustainability-linked sukuk framework has been independently reviewed by RAM Sustainability Sdn Bhd,” it stated in an announcement yesterday.
