Bursa Malaysia ends marginally increased

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia pared a few of its early beneficial properties to finish the day marginally increased on bargain-hunting in chosen heavyweights led by Hong Leong Financial institution BhdTelekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) and Hong Leong Monetary Group Bhd (HLFG).

At 5 pm, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) rose 0.05 of-a-point to finish at 1,597.18, in contrast with Tuesday’s shut of 1,597.13.

Hong Leong Financial institution rose 16 sen to RM20.58, TM added 12 sen to RM4.88 and HLFG perked up eight sen to RM19.36. The three shares contributed a mixed 1.56 factors to the acquire within the barometer index.

The FBM KLCI opened 2.49 factors firmer at 1,599.62 and moved between 1,596.13 and 1,605.11 all through the day.

Market breadth was optimistic with gainers main losers 505 to 394 with 463 counters unchanged, 891 untraded, and 12 others suspended.

Complete turnover decreased to three.54 billion items price RM2.42 billion from 3.90 billion items price RM2.44 billion on Tuesday.

On the index board, the FBMT 100 Index elevated 13.87 factors to 11,110.40, FBM Emas Index was 19.67 factors firmer at 11,463.34, FBM Emas Shariah Index rose 29.12 factors to 12,085.82, FBM 70 jumped 72.35 factors to 13,810.65, and the FBM ACE expanded 18.54 factors to five,823.65.

Sector-wise, the Industrial Merchandise and Providers Index edged up 0.73 of-a-point to 213.75, the Monetary Providers Index gained 14.02 factors to 16,733.0, and the Plantation Index superior 30.24 factors to eight,505.58.

The Major Market quantity fell to 2.48 billion shares price RM2.0 billion in contrast with 2.85 billion shares price RM2.21 billion on Tuesday.

Warrants turnover dwindled to 239.55 million items valued at RM41.68 million towards 362.51 million items valued at RM64.22 million yesterday.

The ACE Market quantity expanded to 825.48 million shares price RM195.86 million versus 686.56 million shares price RM167.53 million beforehand.

Client services counters accounted for 360.19 million shares traded on the Major Market, industrial services (731.03 million), building (395.34 million), know-how (134.68 million), SPAC (nil), monetary providers (67.18 million), property (278.18 million), plantation (75.87 million), REITs (3.95 million), closed/fund (nil), power (304.63 million), healthcare (41.39 million), telecommunications and media (19.37 million), transportation and logistics (42.13 million) ), and utilities (26.61 million). – Bernama
